@TAB I’m going to start going to some model train shows, provided they are not too far away.
There is a model train club in my area which might go to at some stage.
my late husband had some electrical knowledge from when he was in defence force and was building his own ho that was to be powered.
i do have at least one loco that is configured with sound. Too technical for me knowledge (my knowledge is same as 30+ years ago when I first became interested.
person at the train show last I had a good chat with is a member of the local model train club and said lots there can help with info out set up, wiring etc.
typing this reminds me I used get my locos out and see how/if they run. Been few years just sitting in boxes, not the best idea.
first priority is getting external ziplock blinds installed. Mid 4 figure to get motorised installed, will be well worth it though.

Few days ago I went to local model train show. Photos I took were taken on my phone and not the best.
these are some I found on a website from last year.
Expensive hobby that is also very relaxing. Only things that come ready made are the trains, track and some accessories. Some stage after I get the space I want in my garage plus have 💰💰 I will starting process of having working layout in my garage.
