Brainstorming

I've noticed lots of these discussions are lengthy - which can be good, or can be overwhelming.  Thought I'd try starting a 'looking after ourselves' brainstorm thread where people can add their favourites - just one thing that they enjoy for themselves, big or small. So I'll start:

A nice cafe, a good book, a coffee or 2 and a plain croissant.  Works quite nicely for me on Saturday mornings.

Re: Brainstorming

I like to work out at the gym, then follow with a nice coffee and cake to undo all my good work. It always works for me!

Re: Brainstorming

I like to walk which helps to releive my frustrations.

I particularly like the site Stereo Mood https://www.stereomood.com/ It creates a playlist based on a mood (happy etc) or an activity (studying, meditation). I use it all the time!

Re: Brainstorming

Hey Coffeegirl

Thanks for the heads up on that one. I will certainly give Stereo Mood https://www.stereomood.com/ a try and let you know how it goes.

Re: Brainstorming

I like playing netball - because it's a team sport, it's social.  I can be competitive, feel a sense of achievement & stay fit! I also forget everything else going on outside of the game.

Re: Brainstorming

I like gardening, walking in the bush or along the beach, listening to classical music and reading.

Re: Brainstorming

I start playing classical music the minute I get up in the mornings. It lifts my mood. I also like to escape inside a good book, go for a walk, and although I don't generally watch TV, I like to lose myself in the old style of British shows such as Miss Marple, Hercule Poirot (anything Agatha Christie), Midsomer Murders etc.
